The air tank in the front is priceless!

A car still missing from the collection was the Aston Martin DB11. AA released this model about 2 years ago, but I still didn't buy one. But having a DB5, DB7 and DB9 in the collection, I just needed one. I choose the Appletree green, but only after seeing it in the flesh. The colour is stunning in real and pictures don't really do it justice. Overall a solid model from AA, weak point the engine bay, strong point the exterior and especially the wheels. Maybe the best executed wheels I have seen on an AA model.

Good call on the colour!

Back to the classic stuff. On my wish list for a long time was the AA Lamborghini Espada. But I wanted it in a specific colour, the dark blue with beige interior. The Espada's are getting more and more expensive and hard to find, let alone if you're looking for a specific example. But, got lucky and found one. It needed a bit of a clean, but after that, it is like new.

Neat addition! A very good model, when AUTOart did provide a true 100% effort. I remember when these were a dime a dozen, they just didn't sell well.

2 great additions...love the color on the DB11.

The Espada is a great choice...very nicely done by AA. I wish I had this blue, I have the silver which is nice, but a bit boring for a Lambo. These bring pretty big $$, the last I checked.

Love the Espada. I remember when Siver were available for really cheap. I didn’t pick one waiting for a better color … and prices have steadily gone up since.

This blue colour is beautiful. On eBay these are advertised for ridiculous prices. But asking much doesn't mean selling it for much. I never use eBay, it looks like a race who can ask the most money. I paid around the price of what AA would ask today if released again (just over 200 euro's).

Know the feeling. But be patient, at some point the perfect oppertunity will come along.

On to the next one, bought together with the Espada. I never bought a BMW Z8 back in the day. Even though I was very much active in the hobby at that point. It is a car that has to grow on you and at some you just decide to buy it. In my case it took 20 years. The Z8 came from either AA or Kyosho. I looked at both and although the Kyosho seems a little better I couldn't find one without paintrash. So I decided to hunt for the AA. The guy who sold me the Espada also had this Z8 for sale. It is the James Bond version, but apart from box and a rocket on one side, it is just a normal Z8. I wasn't looking for that specific release, but just happened to be this one.

Correct me if wrong, but it is one of AA's first models. It had a price tag on in in Gulders (and we went to the Euro early 2000's). But apart form (small) doglegs it doesn't really show.

A very unique piece. Like you, I wasn't a fan in the heyday of its release. I have the Kyosho Z8 in Red, a whopping $70 CND LOL.

Nice addition & it looks excellent with the 507 (who makes yours, by the way?). I have the Kyosho DE in black & wish I'd grabbed an AA when they were dirt cheap. I think the AA has the best executed rims by far...not to mention the paint rash on my Kyosho.

My 507 is from Norev. The paintrash on older kyosho's is terrible indeed. For me THE reason to look for an AA Z8.

I thought so, regarding the 507. Very tempted to get one to replace my Revell...which is a VERY old model.

Finally some pre-orders are coming in at the moment. The first I photographed is the new AUTOart 1973 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R. For me every iconic Japanese car is a must-have.

The model is nicely executed. In fact, I can't really point out anything that should have been done better. Apart from..... rubber seatbelts again :shame: Goog thing they are hidden behind the B-pillars and hardly visible.

This one has really good details. Love the plywood board in the trunk. Not exactly my primary collection focus but like you I like to get iconic Japanese cars, so I may add it. So many interesting AUTOart recently.

I agree, along with the spare! I appreciate the older ones more than the modern editions.

I just received the Bugatti SS110, it has fabric seatbelts. I don't remember what the McLaren Senna had
