Re: Angel - My Collection
Not something you see everyday. I can appreciate the uniqueness of the piece.

Re: Angel - My Collection
3 years ago my friends from the Bulgarian forum gave me for my birthday the CMC 1936 Auto Union Type C.
Since than i was obsessed to add the Auto Union Type C -- V-16 Engine with display case.
It proved to be not very easy, the car model is all over the market at a reasonable price level.
The engine however is a different case, prizes went up, these days reaching the 200 euro mark.
A week ago i was in Berlin/Germany and i was planing to visit a shop there.
I did and to make the long story short - totally unexpected i found and bought my Engine!
Thank you Mr. Robert Budig!

That is really special, congrats!
I'm still debating whether or to add AU Hill Climber, such a unique specimen

This changed my plans and i have to show my humble review of maybe one of the best looking roadsters ever made quite well reproduced by PMA?Minichamps.[KRAFTIG] wrote:That looks SOOOO cool in convertible form. I don't think I've seen photos of it before. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Angel - My Collection
I have to go back in time to show a very old racer.
I am not very happy with the quality of the footage, but you can take a look here
http://www.diecast.org/diecast98/html/a ... iewpix.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and i will borrow a part of the comment:
"CMC steals the show with this release and has excelled in their presentation of early race cars. The attention to detail, build quality, and subject matter make for an excellent replica that collectors will enjoy for many years to come. If you haven't had a chance to obtain one of these, I highly recommend this addition to your collection. It will not only look great in any racing, European, and Mercedes-Benz collection, but could also serve as a centerpiece to be admired for the craftsmanship and detail CMC brings to the table."
1924 Mercedes Targa Florio
CMC
"... the red painted Mercedes was due to a race strategy that would fool Italian race fans into thinking one of their own was coming down the track, thus preventing the occasional boulder from rolling on the course! Rennleiter, or team manager, Alfred Neubauer had the cars repainted red between the practice round and race and the rest is history!"
