What's the difference between AUTOart Signature and Millennium editions?

Post by Morgan » Sat May 23, 2020 7:08 am

Apologies for the newbie question. There again, I'm a newbie!

Some of the E-Type Jaguar prices on ebay are very steep especially for Signature models. Are they rarer? All metal?

Thanks as always,

Morgan

First, did you try the search feature here? I believe this question was asked before. In short, and In my opinion it more of a marketing thing. And it doesn't have to do with composite, plastic or metal finishes. Also, today the definition of each isn't a profound as it was years back. Not sure why either...

Performance = AUTOart opening price point. The boxes were framed paper with windows on all sides with the exception of the bottom, call them "window boxes". The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Prototype was considered performance and it was brilliant!

Millennium = AUTOart's next level/tier, supposedly even more detail. The box was usually White with an image of a car/model on the box. Inside it was housed clamshell box of styrofoam.

Signature = AUTOart's pinnacle series, the most expensive of the three. The best of detail and execution. The box is Black and made to look like a felt-like material. It was also covered in a then skin of cellophane too. Again, inside it was housed clamshell box of styrofoam. There was also a small booklet that spoke to the history and details of the car/model and usually a certificate of authentication inside. Example Pagani Zonda R.

About read this article from 2016... The switch to Composite:
