AUTOArt McLaren P1 Volcano Orange (updated version)

Post by [KRAFTIG] » Thu Mar 15, 2018 10:30 am

Sometimes it's true, good things come to those who wait. I've waited a long time to add the AUTOart McLaren P1 in Volcano Orange exterior to my collection. This model comes slightly different from the earlier release; it features Orange calipers, more defined headlights and carbon fibre rear wing. I still can't figure out how to attach the wing! LOL.

I consider it the best available 360 1:18 scale available today. I prefer access to the internals of the car over static pieces when available. AUTOart considers this one a Signature Series, for the most part it is. Where it fails is the motor, it truly doesn't live up to their standards in my opinion. You can read the complete review of this beast on the DiecastSociety.com website. Enjoy the pics!

Great photos buddy. The wing, you see the little metal thing under the paper for the wing in the box. Use that in the holes to keep the wing poles up & try & press the wing into place. Just be a bit careful.

Thank you.

It doesn't feel secure. And how about when you want to see the motor, you need to pull it off?

Yep whoever designed that wing system is not a genius...

The engine compartment is weak but I was surprised to see that the diecast frame is quite visible in this area. I think that engine is worth upgrading.

A true shame. A few more dollars would have paid dividends on the motor! :money: :money:

Yeah I was tempted by the staggering upgrade potential for that engine, but at $300CAD, naaah
