Just received this Autoart 911 GT3 RS, it is a very beautiful model, but mine has nasty glue marks in one of taillights (It looks like I am not the only one with this issue).
Does not look as disastrous in dim light or from a further distance.
I wanted to ask if this is normal "manufacturing tolerance" or should I return the model (with a high probability that replacement will be the same)?
AUTOart quality issue or is this normal?
Re: AUTOart quality issue or is this normal?
No, but should be an easy fix. Try using a little Dry Board Cleaner.
Re: AUTOart quality issue or is this normal?
The glue is inside of taillight, I do not dare to break it apart. Glue is almost invisible in dim or disperse light, but shows only in bright sunlight or spotlight at specific angle.
I have seen similar problem also on pictures made by others, e.g. in this review (due to dim light, it is not so obvious, but the glue patch is there alright)

That is an issue if inside. Send her back!
Re: AUTOart quality issue or is this normal?
Some more research shows that this is very common situation on this model - every 3rd or so seems to have these glue patches. It is just that in my case the glue patches are much bigger than usual.
I have ordered another copy from another seller, will keep the best one to myself and send the other one back.
I have learned to live with normal "manufacturing tolerances" lately, but am a bit fed up with these bigger disappointments on models for 200$ a piece.
If I lived in a country where there are big model shops, I would only buy new models locally in person.

I couldn't agree more. Your frustration is shared. Hopefully, the next one will be perfect!I have learned to live with normal "manufacturing tolerances" lately, but am a bit fed up with these bigger disappointments on models for 200$ a piece.

Got another copy of Autoart GT3 RS, this time without any nasty flaws.
She is a beauty.
