It is, BUT I'll wait for the AUTOart version with opening bits! :money: :money:

I agree, this goes with my theory of resin models. The Aventador SV is a shoe in for Auto Art, so why would you buy the resin. The RUF CTR2........this one makes sense to buy in resin since it will most likely never get to die cast production(but I hope I get proven wrong hahaha)

Old diecast version' prices will double in this year probably.

Producing resins and selling them with more expensive prices. Kyosho becomes a BBR -at least with Ferrari models-

I think the red Ferrari F40 in resin would be worth it totally. It would be very cool for Kyosho to make the 5 Ferrari super cars in resin I would very much buy all of them even if they are resin. The release pictures that Kyosho made of the models were amazing. Ive been told that they are making a 288 GTO but I haven't heard or read anything saying this, I even asked Kyosho and they couldn't confirm. I sure hope they do.

......In the case of an F40 resins let me at least say this( please chime in if I'm wrong). At least they will have to make an engine for the model since the rear engine cover is see thru. I'm always looking for the silver lining

Meh, I'd get all of them in resin too. Otherwise you get the diecast F40, which is all old and covered in paint rash by now. Then you're like okay, I need the F50. The hot wheels version is horrible. So if these guys make it, it'll probably look better, come on a fancy base and all that. Then you're thinking, okay now I need the 288 gto. Again, the hot wheels version is old and horrible and would look worse than these anyway, so you're like alright, I'll get one of these. Then there's the laferrari. I had the hot wheels version and it's pretty poor. Provided you haven't bought the overpriced BBR, may as well get one of these. And then you have all of them matching each other. Then there's the enzo but the bbr is actually good and comes on a fancy base as well.

I hear what you're saying but Ferrari and models are in a whole other category when it comes to model collecting due to the lack of quality(or at least I think). The Kyosho models are nice but they are older and very expensive. The detail and look of the new resin Kyosho F40 looks amazing so I'm thinking it might be the better option for me.

If Auto Art made Ferraris tomorrow I would be ll over them but there seems to be this strange variety of older deists that are over priced very newer cheaper looking diecasts. So in the case of Ferrari I totally feel that resin isn't a bad option especially when its a mid engine that you can at least see the engine thru the rear

But that is just my personal opinion and it means nothing.

anytime I write ANYTHING about a Ferrari I feel the hammer of Lucky13 coming ;) . Its ok, though because whats REALLY making this hobby go to SHIT ,which then makes it go to HELL is the nit picky whining bitching from people that will never be satisfied PERIOD!. All I hear about is how Auto Art is going to hell with composites and the price. If you lowered the price per model people would still bitch about the composite material. If you change the composite back to die cast people will complain about the price going up.

Then there is Resin models. Its like Ford vs Chevy. They both have their place. I didn't think much of Resin model till I bought one and that changed A LOT. It changed my opinion of resin even if giving the choice I will always pick Die Cast given the right situation but Resins have one thing for sure going for them. They are VERY detailed on the Exterior. Some resin models are so stunning and to scale its insane compared to die cast alternatives. The paint and fine exterior on certain resins is pure Nirvana. So maybe there is a trade off for certain things?

Anyways, trust me........people like me, true car enthusiasts, are far from ruining this hobby. Its the new whinny ass generation that has never known "tough times" yet claims they suffer from depression. Remember what we were taught as a child, "Nobody likes a whiner"

Explain? Did you not recently add a pair of pricey resin pieces?

I am sorry to see moralizing about "ruining this hobby", as though we all have sworn fealty to The Diecast Hobby™ and any failure to make the "right choices" in collecting amounts to a treasonous betrayal of other collectors.
