all jokes aside, that is a very good looking model. Reminds me of the plain bodied Exoto 917 works prototype
The purity of it is very attractive.

Is it one of cases of a smaller scale model being used as a 'teaser'? In this case I would guess at 1/87th scale.....[KRAFTIG] wrote:It looks toyish in the photo, no?

I will be investing in one of these. Minichamps look to have made the effort to replicate the differences between the different years represented by the various colour schemes on offer. This car had a full ground effect underside and this is on the model, which the other released versions (so far) didn't have. The bonnet on the Halb und Halb Heyer car is wrong though.......[KRAFTIG] wrote:ord Capri Turbo Gr. 5 #2 DRM Champion 1981 Klaus Ludwig 1:18

My guess is they were too lazy, and didn't have enough reference material to do the job properly. Since the bonnet is removable, the changes would have been minimal. I should also point out that I am relying on their on-line publicity photos - they may have corrected the problem..... As regards pricing, costs are rising and getting the most out of the investment for the tooling is sensible. However - Minichamps were a well respected manufacturer of diecast cars in the past. They have fallen behind though, and made some very odd decisions. The introduction of the 1/64th scale stuff made me scratch my head![KRAFTIG] wrote:To me it sounds like they got lazy or should I say $$ before collectors
