Minichamps 1971 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 AMG #35 (W109)

driven by Helmut Kelleners at Hockenheim.

Absolutely love this model...not a ton of details like some of Minichamps' other race cars, but it just looks SOOO good on display. Kind of wish I'd bought the one with the spot-lights up front (as in the 1:1 pic), but oh well.

I hate the job Minichamps did with the decals. I had the one in the picture and all the decals cracked in a year. I wanted to throw it out but I ebayed it and got 80 bucks for it. Would not buy another one.

Aren't there plain bodied versions? Either way, the decals can come off easily.
