Odd question on new Minichamps 911 GT3R

Post by Titan7 » Mon May 07, 2018 7:29 pm

Went to remove this model from the box and plastic base and noticed the spacer for the OEM base do not come off the model. Very odd, just thought I would check in here as minichamps was no help. Sort of a bummer it it’s clearly looks like it’s on jack stands, thoughts? Not sure how I could cut them off. It’s a 1/18 scale 2016 Porsche 911 GT3R

That is odd! It may be stuck in position. Did you try with a little force to remove it?

Yeah that’s one option, I am wondering it this spacer was glued in by mistake?

Okay, update, called minichamps they said they should come off but some might be really tight. With confirmation they come off I did manage to remove them, but it was really, really tight! I used a piece of inter tube for grip and a large pair of pliers, and it still took some effort to get the, off, wow! They told me they should actually just drop off when removing from the base, lol, not these.

Just an FYI.
