I got the Elite last year & was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was...some really nice detail upgrades over the Foundation (which I still have & am trying to sell). That being said, as lucky13 said, don't expect 250 California, 410 SA levels of goodness. Its all about having the right expectations.

Here's my thread with a comparo..http://www.diecastsociety.com/forums/vi ... =35&t=1157

Did they do 1965 Le Mans winner?
I swear I saw it but can't find anything on the net.

Thanks for clarification, Lucky.
I suppose there are many details that should be different on Le Mans Winner.
I hope they will make it in 1:18 soon.

I have the blue version as raced at Sebring in '65 and I love it!
It does display very well although when seen with other sports racers it looks somewhat large.
It may be larger than 1:18 scale (the steering wheel looks huge).
It's a beautiful model of a beautiful racing car.
John Mecom had an amazing stable of racecars over the years, they were always meticulously turned out.
I'm sure that Rodger Penske was influenced by Mecom Racing's example.
This was Mark Donohue's first professional ride, Walt Hansgen was his mentor of sorts.

By the way the Hansgen/Donohue Ferarri raced at Sebring was NOT a 250LM, it was a 275LM.

That's the one I have as well. Cool looking model & I love the color/livery.

Some nice upgrades over the non-Elites, too.
