Norev : Porsche 962
Hello Fellow diecast enthusiasts. My topic today focuses on the 1/18 Norev Porsche 962. These have been out for a while now and come in several versions like the IMSA series and European World Sportscar Championship. I've seen photos of them and esthetically give them 7/10. The paint and stickers appears to be good ( they have the tobacco & alcohol stickers included in a bag under the base ). They look a lot less appealing than the Porsche 956 that Minichamps makes. Sadly they dont have any opening features and the price reflects that. I am interested in buying some especially the Coke sponsored Porsche 962. Can the people on this forum who own these models come forward and tell me their impresssions on this model car? Salutations.
Re: Norev : Porsche 962
I don't own any of the above-mentioned models but I can say Norev does provide a good, budget model, which in some cases rivals that of more expensive brands.
Re: Norev : Porsche 962
I don't have any of the Norev 962s, but have been thinking about getting one. I have 2 old fully opening Minichamps 956Ls & a Universal Hobbies 962, in which the engine cover opens, but nothing else.
From the pics, the Norev 962 looks quite a bit better than my old UH. I did buy Norev's recent Martini 935 & am extremely happy with it.

One more thing. The Porsche 962 Imsa "Lowenbrau" model comes with the German beer decals . Does anyone know if these are waterslide or peel and stick? I would prefer if they were the later as its less of a hassle.
