Exoto 1/18 D-Type Jaguar 1954-57

Post by Crumma » Wed Jun 09, 2021 2:07 am

Hi All,
Looking for some advice on what a fair value of the 1/18 exoto Jaguar D-Type 'Short Nose' 1954-57 would be? I've got the 1956 #4 version in excellent condition, box opened, but never displayed. I've struggled to find any price of past/recent sale online. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Open to selling for a fair and reasonable price.

Many thanks in advance,
Chris

Hey Chris, I hope I don't have to explain what is shown on their website as far as retails is something that likely sees what sticks... Your best bet is to review eBay as for actual sales that have occurred on the same of similar Exoto piece and go from there. I don't collect Exoto pieces, only a few choice pieces in my collection as I don't want to throw any pricing out there. And remember, a model is only worth what someone else is willing to pay...

I'm guessing probably around $750-1000 USD. I would just start an auction at $1 and make shipping free. There are none listed and no recent sales which tells me it's highly sought after at the moment. By starting the auction at $1 you're getting more people engaged in the bidding and increasing their chances of making an emotional decision (bidding higher than they usually would). I think the minimum will be 750-1000. It could go as high as 2-3K. Good luck!
