Exoto 1988 Jaguar XJ-R9 D #60 & #61

Post by jface » Fri Oct 11, 2013 2:07 am

So when I got home from work tonight my order from Exoto arrived. I was soooooooo excited as I have always wanted this model of the big cat so I decided to have 2 lol.....you know just because.

Well it hasn't disappointed in any way other than the roof antennas don't fit but ugh no biggie. The details are never ending. Exoto did an amazing job of this model and so glad I can finally get to enjoy all the details of this beauty X2 lol.

This is the 1988 Jaguar XJ-R9 D which raced in the 24 Hours of Daytona

#60 took first place where as #61 DNF for over heating. There is also a #66 which took 3rd place (I dont't have #66...nor do I need 3.....because I don't have the $$$$)

These are the details I appreciate most in Exotos. Under the rear engine cover they still wired the tail lamps. Wont be seen all that much put they put all the effort....Some of the crap you wont see on MR and BBR Resins

Very nice...I'd still like to get one of these at some point.

I always admired this model, great add at $98 each. Did Exoto fix the excessive shipping charges?

Exoto had these on sale for $98 each but for only 2 days and they sold out. Luckily they are not retired just sold out. Sometimes you have to move fast on a hot deal. The number 60 was on sale for $200 then next day dropped further to $98 and they flew off the shelf. Thats why I grabbed the 2

I have the Silk Cut Le Mans winner, and since it's the same model with a different livery, I thought I'd add that I always found it annoying that front clam shell does not open : /
