Spark Porsche 911 R (991)

Post by David » Tue Sep 13, 2016 5:44 pm

Improvements over the GT3 RS are quite limited (not to say nonexistent). The front wheels are not tucked in anymore, which is good a thing. Other than that, pretty much the GT3 RS, minus the wing, the air ducts and the inlets. Then, the brake discs are quite ugly. And finally, the worse is probably the rear grill. Spark did not bother, they just put an ugly molded piece of plastic. Yes, no perforated grill.

Oh, I almost forgot, it is more expensive.
(I did save money to buy this. :shame: )

Sweetness! I have to admit it does photography well. Please forward photo #2 and #3 if possible without the watermarks. TIA!

Too bad about the price, but what an outstanding looking car.

Really hope somebody else makes these (Minichamps, GTS?)

@Dave: The wingless look is just awesome. Pics sent.
@Gavin: GTS will make it but not in white/red stripes. Porsche tends to keep presentation colours for themselves.

agreed on the wingless look....LOVE it.

Too bad about the red/white...I do like that combo. Any clue what GTS will do? They haven't announced the RS colors yet have they?

@Gavin: Let's see! They might surprise us. For the GT3 RS, nothing new. I think the Riviera blue is the most requested colour. I don't know, blue is not really my cup of tea. Haha!
@StratosWRC: Thanks. You tell me! I'm mad at myself for buying it. :D In the end, madness is part of this hobby, right?

I know you better than that, David! ;)

Riviera Blue would work for me for the RS.

White or silver with green would work for me on the R.
