Revell Porsche 930 Turbo Slantnose Cabrio

Post by Gavin » Tue Sep 09, 2014 3:21 pm

Revell released this model in the very early '90's & for its age, I always thought it was pretty decent. Prior to the UT Porsches, this was one of the better 911 models around...and the only 1:18 of a Slant Nose Turbo available. I've had this model for a number of years, just snapping some new pics after I did a wheel/tire swap. The stock wheels are way too narrow for a Turbo & I prefer my Fuchs in black with the silver ring. I had some extra Maisto 911 Speedster wheels, though its tires went to my Norev 911 Turbo...so I had to use tires from an old Maisto Ferrari 348ts. They're a bit fat & high in profile, but I still think they greatly improve the look.

Not a real good example but hey a decent place holder until something better is released. Decent job on the wheel update too.
