CMC Jaguar C-Type #18, Winner 24h of Le Mans 1953

The next model is the Jaguar C-Type #18, Winner of the 24h of Le Mans in 1953 driven by Tony Rolt and Duncan Hamilton. The model is by CMC (M-195) and is limited to 1500 pieces. I won't present the model in detail but just mention that as a Le Mans racer this car has a few differences with the plain road car. First the disc brakes (instead of drum brakes), the third headlight hidden behind the front grille, an additional vent in the hood directing air to the engine through the carb trumpets. The windshield is also different and of course the livery is unique. The added details and the history behind the car made this model quite appealing to me. Even if not on par with previous CMC releases like the excellent Maserati 300S and more recently the sublime Talbot Lago it is nonetheless a very nice piece in my collection. Enjoy the pictures.
