Help! Challenge of opening spring clamps CMC Bugatti 57SC?

See image below. Has anyone experienced the same? Thoughts, solutions? It seems one on either side is not responding. Very frustrating when you spend $375 on a model and simple QC check is not performed. :shame: Hopefully Collector Studio's service after the sale lives up to the beauty of their shop...

Well that sucks. Not sure what exactly is happening, but all I can say is don't force it. Doubt they'll be able to do anything about it.

The clamp move up but it doesn't release from the hood pin :(

A lot of the models they've had sitting for years, so maybe it just settled in a bit. I think it's time to apply force.

No this one came from an unopened box saw it first hand. They aren't open today or I would head again! Most likely next Sat, want to come?

Errrr can't saturday. But I meant it most likely has been sitting around in its box for a while. He says he sells more of the big models than the small models, so not very many.
