Driven by Manuel Reuter to 2nd place overall in the 2000 DTM series.
Bought this model from another collector about 5 years ago. I always liked the blocky looks of the Astra. Not sure why the Gullwing doors weren't used on this model as shown in the 1/24 model below...would have been a great feature to have. Otherwise, its fairly nice. Not overly detailed, but not bad for 2001.

This looks great. I thought the hood didn't open on this one? Or am I thinking of the other Opel in the pics?

Wow I never realized this car had gull-wing doors until now. Who makes this one?

Action apparently. They used to make Indy cars and Daytona Prototypes, plus some NASCAR models.

I see, thanks.

Thanks...it is a cool looking model. Hard to see in the pics, but the decals aren't holding up well. I didn't even notice until I was putting it back in the box.StratosWRC wrote:This looks great. I thought the hood didn't open on this one? Or am I thinking of the other Opel in the pics?
The hood opens on all the Action Opels...sealed on all the UT Opels.
Indy & NASCAR were their main thing, but they also did the C5Rs (the AA's are substantially better, In my opinion...but they did so some liveries/versions that AA didn't do) & Focus WRC's.StratosWRC wrote:Action apparently. Here's their full list from Scale18: http://www.scale18.com/cgi-bin/page/sea ... Y&t=action

I actually had a C5R from them that I bought and returned the next day. It just wasn't good enough.
