Ferrari 312PB, #1, Monza 1000km Winner

Post by StratosWRC » Thu Feb 27, 2014 5:16 pm

GMP 1972 Ferrari 312PB, Monza 1000 km Winner, driven by Jacky Ickx, and Clay Regazzoni (or Brian Redman?). This model can now be friends with my Alfa 33T. I love it. From the cloth-draped seats to the individual tire markings, the attention to detail is awesome. Enjoy the pics!

Note the tire markings here. Obsessive attention to detail.

Image

Just like on BBR's 512BB, the exhaust is held in place by lovely little springs.

Note the cloth-draped seats.

The bodywork is fully removable...

...and so is the instrument dash, revealing footwell detail.

Image

The engine is full of photo-etched grills. Note the suspension/chassis detail.

Image

Pretty exhausts. Note the simulated screws attaching the exhaust to the engine block.

Image

The dash on its own. Note the key fob dangling in the center of the dash.

With its new neighbor. Alfa is by far the better looking of the two, though like a parent, I'd say I love them both equally haha.

Very very nice! I've come close on a few occasion on buying the presentation version, maybe one day!

Nicecardiecast.com has it in red AND black I believe. The price is not bad either!

The Alfa is cool, but the Ferrari is epic. I am not sure why I never got this one. I am ashamed of myself, I need to get one. Thanks for the photos and all.

I never really liked this Ferrari, until I saw this beauty in person at Mid-Ohio last summer. I'd love to get a model at some point.

What a beautiful pair Ferrari and Alfa Romeo make!
I have black plain body version. Wish I have got racing version instead.
I actually won black version on eBay auction by CK Modelcars. It was my first purchase online. :deal:
I didn't know anything about internet shopping. I didn't ask them to exclude VAT and used bank transfer as a payment method.
I was blown away by intricate details this model have. It's in a class of best CMC or finer Exotos.

I think that's why I didn't like it. Compared to the fantastic lines of the Dino/P3/412 it is so angular. Seeing it in person, really made me see the light.
