Howdy - New member from/in NYC

Post by riel_diel » Fri May 07, 2021 7:34 pm

Hi all,

Regular visitor to the site; value the news & reviews - finally registered/joined

Bigtime gearhead & racing enthusiast - Avid F1 fan & Jr. Kart champion
Collect only 1:18 scale - check out my IG = adiels_118garage
Always been a collector; Matchbox as a kid and now 1:18s (AA/Minichamps/Kyosho/Carlectables/BBR/Hot Wheels Elite/CMC/GMP/Exoto) since '14

Typically avoid resin, but have a few in my collection which currently numbers ~150+
Looking forward to connecting with fellow enthusiasts - also willing to trade/buy models available for sale

Question for members: anyone have any experiences/reviews on the site- 'livecarmodel.com' -trustworthy/legit?
99% of my collection sourced via Ebay - hoping I could get some direction on other sites that have good options for sale at reasonable prices

Thanks again - cheers !

Hi, welcome to DS!

Personally heard more negative about LCM than positive, not first experience here.

Hi There

I haven’t purchased from these guys before, as their prices are quite all over the place. Such as an Integra 1:64, is a few dollars less than a 1:24 scale. Although a customer of mine was looking for an Infiniti Q50 and Acura RDX and the website had both in 1:18, but the prices were quite high and no one else I deal with had the pair. I couldn’t find them anywhere else.

I'm curious however - if you do purchase a model would you receive it from LCM ? Or :wall:

LOL... that has been a bone of contention, some have reported they are NOT states side and product ships from off shore.

I see - but they do deliver (not a scam.)
That's Interesting - do you know of any other legit sites with good deals ?

Thanks again !

From a personal experience, I have none, though a friend getting back into the hobby after a large absence did purchase and did receive his models here in Canada. His comments from what I remember, many things they said were in stock were actually not.

Find a rapport for a local seller that is my direction or choose from our site sponsors as they support us! :okay:

Regarding livecarmodel.com, I tried to buy a model from them once. They e-mailed me the following day saying they didn't have it. I haven't used them since, and a lot of their prices are way too high for me.
