ERTL 2003 Corvette 50 Anniversary

The Corvette marks its 50th year in 2003, and Chevrolet's rather subdued response is somehow appropriate. Sure, Chevy could have come up with an ultra-expensive and limited-production special edition, perhaps something along the lines of a street-legal version of the C5R endurance racers. But Chevy didn't. Instead, the 50th Anniversary Edition is a trim package available on Coupes and convertibles.

And now i add a special touch...an opening rear end, probably the only one in Canada whith carpet and an functional trunk:okay:

I like it! So tell me what was involved with the modified rear? It looks very well done.

It was just ....hey wait a minute i'm not revealing all my secret

It was just a small piece of metal who blocked the rear, it was like a lock, so i take it off and repaint a part off the rear end, you can see the mark in the yellow circle

At the beginning the rear was not supposed to open.

Why would they do that? Is the 1:1 built as so?

As you can see the rear is opening on the 1:1, so it's a mistake from ERTL

Very nice...still love the styling on the C5. This Ertl one looks very well done.

I have the early C5 Coupe by UT (with red interior).
