Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
And for the classic corner...
Finally I have both of Kyosho Daytonas Street version
Nice Autoart Corvette 1969 (bought with second try, the first one had to be sent back due to missing antenna and massive paint rash)
CMC Ferrari 250 SWB, Yellow, a very very nice piece, got for 280 EUR which is a good price these days
Very very happy with all of them, especially my first CMC.

Nice additions sir, I always wanted both, I just couldn't justify the price for the slight difference. Look great though! Finally I have both of Kyosho Daytonas Street version

It is always easier to justify buying a model, if it is your childhood's classic dream car. And Daytona it is.[KRAFTIG] wrote: Nice additions sir, I always wanted both, I just couldn't justify the price for the slight difference. Look great though!
The Daytona was a difficult buy, after long search, imported *new* model from USA for around 150$, however it was heavily covered in paint rash due to its age. Luckily a whole day (!!) worth of polishing solved the issue by 99%. The other Daytona was cured by the previous owner as it turned out.
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
I hear you, when you have to have it the money is secondary. And yes Kyosho's of that period are notorious for paint rash, I live with it
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
A few minor flaws, but I'm overall happy with it.
White marks between the R and S
Blemish on hood. Not sure if polishing will damage the finish?

Looking good! Nice pics!
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
This is what happens when you already own Autoart McLaren F1 and then spot another one on eBay 150 - 200 EUR below market price.
I will be displaying one with shut and another one with open doors.

Someone has a passion for F1's!
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
Childhood dream supercar from the first modern western supercar poster that I happened to get my hands on when I went in 2nd grade, right after iron curtain fell. It is easy to fell in love with a single poster when there is no internet, no car magazines, no nothing. You just know mostly LADAs and Volgas and then you discover that this thing exists on the planet earth.[KRAFTIG] wrote:Someone has a passion for F1's!
Besides a car that went 372 km/h in 1992 and stayed the world's fastest car all through my childhood, somehow left a mark even with everything else that was discovered

Got this for half the normal price and i'm very happy with it. Very nice model, from the good old die-cast days, solid and heavy as a brick.

Searching for a silver or blue one, however many of them are with defects which can be seen on pictures - mostly too huge body gap between rear boned and body. Looks correct on yours.Marcel171281 wrote:Got this for half the normal price and i'm very happy with it. Very nice model, from the good old die-cast days, solid and heavy as a brick.
Where did you find your's? eBay?

Found it in a shop here in the Netherlands. They got there hands on an old stock and sold them for a good price, both the silver and this one. They are sold out now again. This one is flawless, no QC issues at all, perfect specimen.karlis wrote:Searching for a silver or blue one, however many of them are with defects which can be seen on pictures - mostly too huge body gap between rear boned and body. Yes, schuco. Think the smalest model in my collection, but might be the heaviest.[KRAFTIG] wrote:That's a great piece, from Schuco, right?
