Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
That Turbo S is amazing
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
It's been awhile since the last post, and there have definitely been some purchases in the last several months, but these somewhat random 8 models are the most recent. I have a moment and am posting a few thoughts.
First, Norev continues to be among the best manufactures for overall quality, particularly considering the cost.
If older models are of interest, the Minichamps Lancia is very well done, and I managed to get a model without any issues which seems more common on so many of the higher end series. The BBR model is very well done. The main highlight was to be the 250 GTO which I know many here own. It represents the most I have spent to date on a single model. But, it has a few issues that could well be considered minor but are harder to look past when spending so much.
Maybe I will share a separate post, but the issues are not easy to spot in a photo--probably the main issue is the back windshield not being totally flush on one side, not an issue I have seen on any other CMC model I own, not to mention some minor paint issues. It was sealed and not inspected prior to shipment and the seller is happy to accept the return, but I snagged the model on sale and don't know if I will be able to get it at the same price again.

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
I don't have any issues with mine, the two I have are issue free.
Should you buy one? Definitely, it's going to be a sought after item like the Turbo 3.6 released by GT Spirit 4 years ago. The Turbo S is even more sensational because of the Speed yellow paintjob. Go for it! It's a nice centerpiece for any collection.

If only I collected 1/12 I'd grab that Turbo S and probably a Minichamps 930 Turbo 3.0. But no no no I cannot go down that expensive road.

Just 1 or 2 to compliment your collection.SPhilli911 wrote:If only I collected 1/12 I'd grab that Turbo S and probably a Minichamps 930 Turbo 3.0. But no no no I cannot go down that expensive road.
For 1/12s, they are not too expensive let alone the Z-Tune, which is under Kyosho's brand so inflated price. It just eats a lot of space, that's the big downside of collecting 1/12 models.

These are most likely limited but no number under the chassis.

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
I've done some damage lately. I am tapped out for the holiday!
$50 for a NEW IN BOX Autoart? How could I pass up on this.
Ebay coupon and a good price meant $78 shipped for this LS Collectibles
Another eBay coupon meant GREAT pricing on Kyosho Samurai
They want like $200 shipped when these come up on eBay. 1 of 250, never going to find a bargain. Bought in Italy for $150 shipped.
DMW sale meant Norevs were about $30 each!
