Who makes it? What's the history? TIA.
Autoart. It's a 1999 Ford Focus WRC. It was the Focus' debut win at the Safari Rally in Kenya driven by Colin McRae. This one is extra special to me because I participated in the 1999 Safari.

I actually got this close to Colin...

Cool. This must be old, I see the wiring hold her in. Hopefully not too expensive :)

Yes, it's pretty old.

Awesome car and photo. One of my favorite rally cars and drivers. McRae got me into (life sized) Subarus and Fords because I just loved to see him rally them, so naturally I emulated that with my own cars. 8-)

That's amazing! I had the opportunity to work controls at quite a few Safari Rally events and meet quite a few Rally drivers. What McRae is to you is what Tommi Makinen is to me :worthy:

One of these days I'll get a proper display cabinet up and I would love to share my collection with other Rally fans like you

Nice add! How do you like it? I was going to order one, but I've decided Moon Grey and Carbon Black with Orange accents just does it for me. POST SOME PHOTOS!

^ You guys grabbing those Koenigseggs should be able to sell those for good dollar about 5 years down the road. I recently sold my red Agera for a pretty penny.

Well, don't know about you, but I'm not in this hobby to make money, or even thinking about making profits and seeing these models as investments. I'm in for the passion for cars, and no way I will ever sell anything for the purpose of making money, so even if they go for a 1000 in a couple of years, I couldn't care less. I buy these models to display (nothing in boxes, what is the purpose of that?) and admire.
