Well, don't know about you, but I'm not in this hobby to make money, or even thinking about making profits and seeing these models as investments. I'm in for the passion for cars, and no way I will ever sell anything for the purpose of making money, so even if they go for a 1000 in a couple of years, I couldn't care less. I buy these models to display (nothing in boxes, what is the purpose of that?) and admire.
Age-old argument. I wasn't into the idea of reselling either 5 years ago... and now that I wanted to get rid of some, I'm happy to know I'm not selling at a loss at least.

You can always get into the hobby for appreciating the work put into it along with prospective value appreciation. Nothing wrong with wanting both.

How is the condition of the Black Series?
Mint. Came from a first owner. I remember when this was only $200. Won it on auction for $325. Do I wish I would've bought this when it was $200? Sure (if I knew it was going to have such high demand), but I didn't because the solid mesh grill was ugly.

I paid $100 bucks back in 2010. Original owner too. Mine example is riddled in paint rash. As for the model, average at best but the car is way cool. Someone should do this one again!

This model got me back into the hobby recently. It is a Spark's resin 1/18 model of the 918. I've always wanted a 918 to complete the P1/LaFerrari/918 trinity, but it took me a fair share of research to decide on the Spark's model. I would have gone with AA, but I did not like the rear wing being carbon fiber. Fitment gap and side marker post bothered me alot on what Minichamps is offering.

The cellphone shot here do not do justice to how well this model is painted, but I just wanted to share.

I've also cleared out my bookshelf and unpacked some models from the closet. No particular order here, I just started opening boxes. It was a fun night of, "Oh yeah, I forgot I had this". The Bburago Bugatti Divo in the corner is another recent addition, I hope I see more models in this price range with this much detail in the future.

AUTOart Koenigsegg Regera, Horizon Blue & Koenigsegg One: 1, Moon Grey/Carbon Black

I finally added the One:1 - Close call with the all-carbon, but Moon Grey/Carbon Black looks slightly better In my opinion :manual:
