Gents, please add the manufacturer when posting TIA.
Recently traded a friend for this one from Peako 1:18 De Tomaso P72. I don't think I would ever pay retail for a static resin model, but I must say it looks fantastic in person.

Stunning model.
Great 911's. Love the color combos on the S & 4S!. I've been VERY tempted by that Flachbau, especially at current prices, but haven't been big on GT-S models lately.SPhilli911 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 04, 2023 2:46 pm964 Turbo S Flachbau and 993 Turbo S

That is so cool! Nice addition!!
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
Thanks...the exterior is really well done & it displays well.
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
That's sucks! Must have been hit hard to crack!
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
Yeah, the seller put it in a good size box, surrounded it with bubble wrap and cardboard reinforcements, and packed it to the gills with packing peanuts. On closer inspection, the damage was worse than I originally thought. The display window is cracked, a hood vent came off, and the front of the car somehow got jacked up. I don't understand it. Is resin that fragile?
Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
Are they fragile yes and no. And I've seen many over the years, and none have come to me in pieces. To be honest, it is likely a manufacturing issue, possible air pockets factored into the body integrity.

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
I notice more of these damaged resin posts in the winter. Where was this shipped from? Is it cold currently where you are in the Midwest? Resin is much more brittle in the cold. And packing it super tight with peanuts is actually not that great, you want the model box to be slightly loose, otherwise all that inertia goes to the modelATEOTD wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 7:42 pmYeah, the seller put it in a good size box, surrounded it with bubble wrap and cardboard reinforcements, and packed it to the gills with packing peanuts.
