1/18 ACME Dodge Ramper(s) arrived yesterday (I bought three).

Unboxed one and it goes perfectly with my custom fantasy Plymouth Superbird LeMans GT.

Did I share that build on here?

The Superbird is actually an older Ertl/ToysRUs body on a stretched ACME Henri Chemin HemiCuda chassis.

Yes, I think you did share the history here a number of years ago.

Ricko Vector W8 Twin Turbo

Back into the collection! I finally got one at a reasonable price!! :money: :money:

Well, this turned out to be another eBay bust! "NEW" in box. Totally BS! The model is showing signs of paint rash, the front windshield is totally scratched, the driver door doesn't close properly, chip on drive front fender, and to add insult or the cherry it smells like smoke. Of course, none of this was provided, if so I would have ignored the temptation. WTF!!! This sale has finally cemented that I will no longer purchase a scale model via eBay. F$$K you eBay and F$$K you seller! :x

Actually only did it within the past year. I'll post up a thread on the build.

Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari 458 GT2

I'm very satisfied with this model, the Elite models released towards the end of the Hot Wheels / Ferrari relationship strikes a good balance of value and quality, IMHO. I have not personally acquired any recent Bburago Singature series to make a comparison, but I've always felt there was a gap in Ferrari 1/18 models between sub $40 value products to the $300+ high end resins. Mid range(?) $100-$200 Ferrari models will keep me a happy collector.

How many collectors now wish Hot Wheels Elite was still around? I paid a whopping $99 CND for the above back in 2012. Miss them ten fold!

It did feel weird typing $100-200, and calling it mid range....

I'm just getting back to the hobby after a break so I'm still getting used to the increased MSRP and understanding where the new balance of value and quality is for myself.

Is the new Bburago Signature line, which I assume is taking over what Hot Wheels Elite used to be, not as good???

Price is decent, but they're overall execution is far behine Hot Wheels Elite. Read the reviews, link above :okay:

Not only that, where are the models? They did the 458 Speciale, 488 GTB, California T, LaFerrari and FXX, but they have the license now for 5 years or so? Hardly making use of it and there are so many Ferrari's never made in full opening diecast.

I'm also very much hoping that Kyosho is going to release their classic Ferrari's again.
