Nice additions. Sorry to hear about the seller. Is the headlight lens at least in the box?
Fortunately yes the headlight piece is there, in fact it was stored in the truck of the model... which leads me to think that the seller knew it fell off or U.S. customs opened the box. I'm thinking customs did all the damage, makes more sense than a model seller to do so.

Well, its not too difficult to glue back into place. Are you starting a claim with carrier?

Say what you will about the sealed Spark models, but had to have a 1/18 911 Dakar in my collection:

On the opposite end of the spectrum I grabbed two KK Scale 911s, a 3.0 and 3.2 Carrera on sale for next to nothing.
(sorry, worst picture ever)

Great additions. Particularly like the bottom one. Is that a 25th anniversary? A neighbor had one when I was in high school. Loved that car.

Thanks! The bottom one is indeed a 25th anniversary or 250,000th model produced Commemorative Edition. Honestly, I wasn't aware of the car until this model. Sometimes even obscure edition of 911s still surprise me.

Technically the 25th AE & 250CE are 2 different models. The CE was released in 1988 in Diamond Blue Metallic. The AE was released in 1989 in either Silver Metallic or Satin Black with matching Fuchs. The light Silk interior is also exclusive to the 25AE.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. The model would be the 250,000 CE car then.

My quick research had me confused at this part:
Offered in 1988 to celebrate 25 years of the Porsche 911 as well as the 250,000th model produced, the Carrera Commemorative Edition features special Diamond Blue Metallic paint and leather, as well as painted Fuchs wheels, front and rear spoilers, and signatures of Dr. Ferdinand Porsche embroidered on the headrests.

Here we have a 1/18 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 4S in Seal Grey Metallic from GT Spirit. This color combo is just gorgeous, had to have this model.

Unfortunately it suffers from what seems to be a common issue on these GT Spirit models, the rear window is warped and not fitted properly.

That looks great in the image. Sorry to hear about the glass, The biggest issue with resin pieces. Traditional "glass" can be used as it has been done by Pop Race, and we have a review of the LR Tippo going live soon that does the same!

awesome addition. I didn't realize GTS did this one...is it a new release? A buddy of mine had a Seal Grey C4S just like that...now has the 997 version in a similar grey.

Other than the warped window it's in perfect shape and honestly the window thing isn't too noticeable, I'll live with it and maybe try to fix it some day.

It came out in 2018 according to the GTS website but I never noticed it at the time, somehow I missed it. It was a little hard to find but I bought it brand new from a seller who had 2, the other still on ebay now. Not cheap but reletive to others I've seen on ebay it was.

Your buddy is lucky, both the 996 and 997 C4S are great cars. I'm particularly into this 996 with the "Turbo look" and light bar that goes across the rear like the air cooled 911s.
