This was CK's email dated 29/5
shipping to your country is running again

Dear Collectors,

the covid 19 pandemic created a lot of problems around the world.

1st at all we hope you and your family are healthy!

From mid March until now the shipping gate to your country was closed. Since today we can ship to your country again!

But the freight costs are a bit higher than before. DHL increased the prices per kilogram. So you will need to pay the following amount additionally for each parcel:

34,95€ regular price for shipment + crisis charge:

10€ per car scale 1:12 (street or racing car)

6€ per car scale 1:18 (including bikes scale 1:12)

2€ per car scale 1:43 (and each other items like clothes and accessories

We would be happy to welcome you again at our ck-modelcars shop!

www.ck-modelcars.de

If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

Stay healthy!

Best Greetings from Germany

Christoph Krombach (CK)

Yep that's the same email I got. Funny cause i contacted them prior to my purchase back in early/mid may if they still ship to australia (modelissimo didnt hence cancelled my orders without telling me). They responded they still do, so I went ahead with my order. And now looks like I have to pay extra for shipping

I had an order with CK from early April which they held and posted a few days ago. Have not asked for any extra.

I also have an order with CK with shipping on hold from April. Haven't received any email about shipments released to North America. I don't see how they can ask for extra shipping $ since I paid full and we have a contract in place.

They did not ask for more money for the existing order. However they have advised that any new order will be more expensive. I actually did one last night and a 'crisis fee' was charged as per my email that I posted.

I'm in the USA, and have one MakeUp model coming from Germany via DHL that hasn't (per the tracking) left Germany since I bought it just about 1 month ago. I had one MakeUp model unexpectedly arrive this week from Japan after having waited close to two months. The tracking info hadn't been updated in forever, other than noting early on that it had been released to the Japan post office.

I've still got five MakeUp models stranded in Japan. The sellers are holding them for me, as they usually use EMS. Per previous comments, DHL out of Japan is an option, but based on my current and past experience with them I'm not a fan. As I've always been extremely happy with EMS, I'm inclined to wait it out a bit longer.

Finally got my order this week. Took awhile. In the end I wasn't charged extra cause the order was made before the new charges was announced. It did took a few emails to clarified cause the first reply I got was yes extra changes will apply, then a "no but we need to check" and finally "no extra chargers".

Also still waiting from my CK order from April. They say ‘’shipment to Canada Still not allowed to Canada’’. But I have another shipment from Germany with DHL that took 10 days to arrive in Canada (in Customs now). Something is definitely fishy with CK.
