UNDER-APPRECIATED Models you MUST have...
Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
I'll start it off. AUTOart Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe, less than $60, and yes it is available today! Model is gorgeous inside and out. The wheels are SOOOO life-like they look cast. Also a limited edition, numbered certificate model too. Get one!
Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
I can think of Porsche 936 from True Scale Miniatures. CMC quality for AutoArt Millennium money In my opinion.
Retail is 120 - 130 Euro and is widely available today. Don't have any pictures but I will borrow from Frank Lemire's review.

There is also another model car from my collection which is very under appreciated but I think I can make a review on it later.

Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
Brian, great model but price point is TOO high.
Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
Here's another AUTOart gem, Corvette Coupe (C6). The detail throughout is awesome, well above average. Still available in limited supply with prices around the $40-$50. BARGAIN!

Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
The Norev 997s. There are plenty of selections, and they are very nice. Many can be found for $50. Hell, I put a couple up for auction and they sold for $30 or so. I regret doing so, but that happens.
*Manufacture - Norev
*Make - Porsche
*Retail is around $100 or less, but some can be found for $50
*Available today? New ones are coming out, some are tough to find.
I have had up to 9, and I keep buying more. They are the best!

I was lucky to get one of them! Good call on the Norev 997's. I have 3 & love 'em.Bill Murray wrote:The Norev 997s. There are plenty of selections, and they are very nice. Many can be found for $50. My choice is Kyosho's Ferrari Daytona's...street or Competiziones. The street cars may be a little more difficult to find and/or more expensive, but the Comps can be found pretty cheap (under $100, easily).
Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
Yup! You definitely hit the nail on the head here! Definitely the best model on the this short list so far. I've added some street/presentation images for the group. If I remember correctly I paid $80 for this work of art. This is when Kyosho was the IT manufacture.Kyosho's Ferrari Daytona's...street or Competiziones
Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
that's about right...I bought all 3 at different times/places, but have less than $180 in my set of 3 (including shipping). There are more coming from Kyosho...another #64 with a ducktail spoiler & the "presentation" versions of it. But they'll be at Kyosho's new Ferrari prices of $180-ish.[KRAFTIG] wrote:If I remember correctly I paid $80 for this work of art. This is when Kyosho was the IT manufacture.

Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
I agree with Bill Murray here...
Norev 997's are one of the best bargain I have. I only have the Turbo as of the moment as I sold some of them.

Re: Under-appreciated Models you MUST have...
Another under-appreciated gem is the AUTOart Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.0. Amazing detail, my favorite Mercedes-Benz platform. Just love the style. I think I paid less than $40 for this one. They were so plentiful once upon a time that you couldn't give them away. Today model is still available today but somewhat scarce, so prices are now on the rise
