that's a great one. For me, this was the 1st Elite that showed what HW could do with their vast resources.

some more pics...mine is the presentation version.

Sun Star 1939 Horch 855 Roadster 1:18 scale

One of Sun Star's best diecast models ever made, although it is an older casting. Fifteen years ago it probably sold for less than it cost to make. Some few years ago it could be had for $20 or so. Prices have escalated, but it can still be gotten for $40 to $50. The chassis is diecast metal and there are plenty of details, including a double-hinged hood, no dog leg door hinges, beautiful chrome and nameplates, convincing imitation wood dash, nicely done wire wheels and well executed running lights front and rear.

I had that one in hand and it wasn't too bad.

That last Horch reminded me the W25 from Ricko. I looks great and has very good details for a Ricko!

The Auto Art Porsche Carrera GT sure seems under appreciate. It looks amazing in white. Funny, because it even got a second release. I would love to hear someones opinion on the 1st release vs the 2nd release. I kinda like how the first release got the factory light brown interior compared to the black interior in the 2nd release.

I have the original release in white. In my opinion the best colour for the car by far. I don't know if there are any differences between the recent re-production.

Umm, I disagree on this one being under-appreciated. It sold out, went for idiotic prices on ebay and got rereleased.

I think it looks great, btw. Apart from the engine.

My pick for UAM (lazy) is the Autoart Fairlady 2000. I didn't even know it existed until my dad got one, its a great model from Autoarts good period. And when looking for a pic for this post I found a truly amazing custom job:

Here another under appreciated piece, the Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Model can still be found and under $100. Detail is exceptional, during Hot Wheels Elite peak period of great releases for the Ferrari marque.
