A legend. Imagine hearing it ripping down the Mulsanne Straight at the time...
absolutely. Must have been incredible.

Very cool. Funny, I don't live too far from Watkins Glen but I have never been there before. Always wanted to.

Getting back into 1/43 collecting after maybe a 5-6 year pause.

Ignoring the boxed new models in this picture, I found a box of 1/43 rally cars in the back of my closet. I knew the box was there but thought maybe 5 models were in there and surprised to find 20! These were "discarded" models or ones that I deemed not good and were replaced with better versions. They're not bad at all, I will dust them off and display with the rest. :okay:

That's a great find! Some great ones in that pic...absolutely love the Safari 911. I want that in 1:18.

Thanks! Actually, one of the reasons I want to restart my rally collection is to get more Safari rally cars including that very same 240Z of yours in 1/43. I wish I could go for 1/18 safari cars but simply can't afford to go down that path, but to be fair even some 1/43 are shockingly expensive despite the scale.

Great 240 collection! A versatile car to be successful in rally and road racing like that.

Lovely!

1:43 is another scale that I love to collect. Most of my models in 1:18, I also have them in 1:43 and 1:64. I try to achieve a tri-scale in my collection. Unfortunately, it's quite hard to accomplish that in every model. Some models released in 1:18 are not available in 1:43 and vice versa. But I'm still happy I was able to find them in multi-scale.

Cool to find the same model in different scales! Also, your photos are top quality, well done.

agree on both points! Like the dark red interior on the 1/43....wish the AA had that.

Cool model, is that a map livery? Very interesting.

It is! This M1 was sponsored by BMW France & is called the "Carte de France" (Map of France). The numerous BMW Roundels on the map represent the various BMW dealerships around France.

Looks great in black, that's a good looking Ferrari. Feel like the Florida plate is very appropriate.

Thanks. Black wouldn't be my first choice, since I have the black Coupe too. But this Spyder is from Miami Vice.
