I'm putting together a collection of tiny cars, but without anything to compare them to, they don't look tiny. So here's my dilemma:
1. I need a car that most people have seen before.
2. The car has to be average sized for full effect.
3. The car has to be available in most scales from 1:12 to 1:87.
4. It must be reasonably priced (e.g. no more than $250 for a 1:12 if possible).
My first inclination was to use a Volkswagen Beetle or Samba Bus, but the bus is so big it looks like it's a bigger scale, and the beetle is a fairly small vehicle to begin with.
I've thought about using super cars, but most people haven't seen them in real life often enough to judge their size.
What do you kind folks think would work best? Thanks for any suggestions!
Ideal car for size comparison?
Re: Ideal car for size comparison?
I'm not sure what the correct base model is. If 1:12 is important to the final results along with budget, look into Sun Star for affordable 1:12 and 1:18. I hope this gives you a staring point. Also OttOmobile has some decent 1:12 pricing, though their assortment isn't grand. Good luck
