Porsche 917-10
Have both the Minichamps 917-20 and 917-30 in 1/18 that show engine detail. Trying to find a 917-10 with engine detail, all seem to be resin models. Any advice ???

Re: Porsche 917-10
The minichamps 917/30 is sealed engine. Only exoto has one with engine detail. The 917/10, on the other hand, is made fully detailed by minichamps and in many versions. But then they started making them sealed.

I thought the only 917-30 by Minichamps was the Penske Sunoco version, which has an opening rear engine deck.

Oh I was only aware of the sealed version. Didn't know this one existed

Back in the heyday when you had a choice between Exoto and Minichamps (and could vote with your pocketbook).
Of course, the nose of the Minichamps is static, but that was your choice.

The posting was in response to an observation that the Minichamps 917-30 was closed, and the picture was proof that it was not. No where in the post did it suggest that the picture was anything other than a 917-30.
Before we jump in and criticize, let's go back and review the entire thread (notwithstanding it was started by you), and make sure that we view every subsequent post in context.
