And the Winner is… DiecastSociety.com 2019 Model of the Year

With the current state of global affairs, the trophy for DiecastSociety.com 2019 Model of the Year is somewhat trivial… All, please keep your family and friends safe during this turbulent time. Family is priority number one! Be safe!!

That being said, the official voting for DiecastSociety.com 2019 Model of the Year ended last month. A race for the top spot was the closest we’ve seen in our short history of the event. The results for all participants are shared below, each is deserving of the win in their own right. The winner is, and for the second year in a row, Almost Real with their 1:18 Brabus 550 Adventure 4×4²!!!

A total of 5,278 votes, the highest total to date. Almost Real/Brabus 550 Adventure 4×4² won with 15% of the votes, 787 in total. They took the win by a slim mark, only 48 votes separates 1st and 2nd place! And 61 votes separates 1st from third!!

The win is well deserved. From our perspective, this model touches many elements a seasoned collector craves. In a market dominated today by static replicas, it is refreshing to see some manufacturing carry on the tradition of 360, full access scale models. Our team has seen and reviewed this piece first hand, it definitely is something special. Almost Real, we congratulate you and the extended team on the win! The trophy is in the mail!

And thank you to all fans of this awesome hobby who took the time to cast their vote. We’ll see you again at the end of 2020. Happy collecting!!!
