GT Spirit New Porsche 911 (964) RSR 3.8 - Polar Silver

A classic from Porsche, the 911 (964) RSR 3.8 in Polar Silver in 1:18 scale is set to arrive with this year's December deliveries from GT Spirit.  The Red and Silver are just gorgeous together.  Is the replica modelled after the one that recently sold for 2.2 million?

Definitely a cool model I love the colors. Based on the real car which is 1 of 2 964 RSR with a full interior. The other car is white. Actually, I am bored enough to do more research on these cars. Wonder why they both have red interiors with amethyst wheels?

Hope GTS also makes a "standard" RSR too.

ah...that's the car they're replicating. I didn't realize that. Very cool! I remember reading about this a few years back. Didn't it come up for auction in original/unrestored condition (based on that pic)?

Yup, sold as is and unrestored with 6 miles on the odometer for $2.25 million! I am sure the new owner will clean it up and at least get it running, but I very much doubt they will actually drive it much.

Cool and unexpected to see it in scale model form and I am happy to add it to my collection, but I would (like I said earlier) still like to see a normal RSR produced, one without a racing livery.
