DiecastSociety.com 2013 “Model Of The Year” Winner!
Since the middle of December 2013 we’ve polled our visitors on their favorite model of the year for 2013. This year we featured 13 models from 10 different manufacturers. The initial list was complied by the DiecastSociety.com’s core members (forum poll). And today I present the results.
Taking top honors this year with 22% of the vote is 1:18 scale Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 TT 12 manufactured by AUTOart. A model that definitely sets the benchmark on detail and execution. Congratulations AUTOart, a well deserved win!

I'm pretty happy with that result! Hopefully next year more brands can join the top 3.

Probably from the list, the Sang Noir. Im not bashing in any way, just a very interesting car to take the cake. I would think a car like that would appeal to a very specific group of ppl. I think 2014 will have a lot more heavy hitters.

My vote went to the Sang Noir as well. Soooo beautifully executed, almost flawless. Yes 2014 will be interesting the Pagani Huayra is definitely there so far!Mikey MKIV wrote:Probably from the list, the Sang Noir. I think Alfa is the more desirable car. In fact, among race fans, almost no one likes the Veyron. The Alfa is a much more detailed model, it has history, which is a big bonus, and a lot more road presence than the Veyron, hence the result.Mikey MKIV wrote:Probably from the list, the Sang Noir. If I had to choose which car to own, and most importantly, which car I'd love to take out on track, it would be the Alfa without question, every time.

He's got a point there

Well deserved and is exactly what I voted for.
The subject matter is fantastic - successful, beautiful, yet a bit obscure racer. And it is Alfa Romeo.
The model is amazing too. Almost CMC / Exoto / GMP Masterpiece level with perfect fitment of panels and opening parts.
The only gripe is the price which is 40-50 USD above what it should be.
