First Look: TOP Marques Jaguar XJ 200

It is definitely a long time in the making! The team at TOP Marques is finally moving forward with their version of the classic Jaguar XJ 220 in 1:18 scale form. First images of the model in greywear do look promising, but will it be enough to sway collectors from their beloved Bburago/Maisto diecast replica? Only time will tell.

I would have loved Autoart to make a Signature series of this car. I had both the 1/18 & 1/12 scale Maisto Jags on display side by side which did look cool but the models themselves were very underwhelming and did not survive my mass sell off.

I would assume that the Top Marques model will be a solid resin yes? Yet another "no buy" for me..

I'd like to see AA seriously improve their QC and attention to detail before they tackle a subject like this. If it came out the same as their recent efforts it really wouldn't do justice to the car.
