First Look: CMF 1:18 Isdera Commendatore 112i 1993

It’s been along time in the making, but fans of the Isdera Commendatore 112i will finally see 1:18 scale replica of this beast come to life. The team at CMF has taken on the challenge, and what we see so far looks pretty darn good! Model is crafted in high-qualiy resin with closed body design. Street date in Q1 2018. We can’t wait!

About the Isdera Commendatore … “In 1993 Isdera designed the Commendatore 112i, which weighed 1,450 kg (3,197 lb), could go 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, and had a top speed of 342 km/h (213 mph). The car had a mid-mounted Mercedes-Benz 6.0 L V12 engine producing 402 hp (300 kW) and a 6-speed manual transmission. The Commendatore had many advanced and unique features such as two sets of gull-wing doors, a velocity-sensitive electronic chassis that lowers the car at high speeds, and an automatic air brake. The 112i was featured in the video game Need for Speed II.”

Ahh the NFS II SE. Was an exciting game for its time. That reminds me, someone should make this and some Italdesign models (Cala and Schigera specifically) in die-cast.

I've seen really good model choices for my taste today, but really, I can't really bother myself with buying resins..

Oh that's tempting. Awesome car, would display perfectly with the Vector W8 and Ford GT90. But depends on the price, I am not going to pay top dollar for a resin model.

Nearly fell over when I saw the "resin word" on this fine site dedicated to diecast!! It prompted me to sign up. Nice looking motor though. I wouldn't buy resin either.

As far as the Vector W8 1:18 scale is concerned they appear to be very rare I think I located 1 for sale on ebay at $152 and about $50 to post it to the uk. I haven't bought it but I wondered if that's the price you have to pay for one?

Welcome. That is pricey but as you know the model is rare. At that price ensure there are NO issues. My old one fell apart; diecast cancer in the rear hatch. Unique piece with limited, antiquated detail. Good luck!

Well I already have one which is in very good condition and I wasn't sure if I should sell it or add another to the collection. The one I have is red and in the box. The box is in a reasonable condition but not absolutely perfect but the car is very good and never played with. I was sort of hoping to find another colour but the other one that's for sale is also red so I might just sell mine but not for that outrageous amount the other seller is charging.
