Thought I'd post a few pictures of UT's 1:18 Porsche 911 GT1 Blue Coral.
The original car this model is based on raced in the FIA GT series in 1997. Unfortunately I can only find information on 3 races this car entered in the 1997 FIA GT season.
Race 1
Donington 17/09/97
Race Position: 14th
Race 2
Sebring 18/10/97
Race Position: DNF - Differential failure
Race 3
Laguna Seca 26/10/97
Race Position: 12th
I really hope that when Autoart finally get around to releasing the 911 GT1 test car they will also release one or two liveried racers.

I must say I've never even seen this one before. She's definitely a looker. As for Autoart version, I don't want to get the test car, so I'm hoping they'll release a proper race version at some point too. I wouldn't mind adding the white road version either.

For their time, these UT versions were some of the best detailed 1/18 scale diecast available, and on original issue, at a reasonable price.
And the breadth of liveries offered by UT was spectacular.
If you just got this one, and it is in that good of a condition, you got a deal.
Here's it's complete history. It is Porsche 911 (993) GT1 Chassis #101:

I've got this Marlboro-liveried version in my collection.

The model is in pretty good condition, the decals are all fine with no cracking or peeling, the only problem is the front wheels have the 'melting plastic' issue and are quite sticky.Oldtimer wrote:If you just got this one, and it is in that good of a condition, you got a deal.

There''s a couple of UT 911 GT1s i'd like to pick up, next up will probably be the #27 Le Mans 96 car
