Random Model Pic of the Day!
Re: Random Model Pic of the Day!
There are pros and cons to both sides I guess. Personally I don't care which material is used as long as the model is executed well. In the example above, AUTOart is definitely the best bang for the buck when you emcompass all attriutres that make a good model. Now, is there level of overall execution the same it was in past, no.

100% agree. But, the same story with most brands. And if the execution is the same, the prices are a lot higher. Has probably to do with the fact that the countries where they are produced have actual rules for their laborers nowadays and pay them more decent. Guess it's the way it is and the fact that the people putting our beloved models together aren't exploited or 10 year old children is a good thing

One of many reasons. At the end of the day, you and I and the other passionate collectors vote with their wallets!

The one of the right is still one of their better-executed models within the modern era.

One of the models I dug up from my closet recently. It is an AUTOart Lamborghini Gallardo. My record says I picked this up from an online retailer in 2006 for $36.

I'm new here, so there's a great chance I might be making a mistake with posting images, but let me try this again...
Looks ok in the preview, so I hope this works.

Here is a Kyosho dealership edition of the BMW X6 -Xdrive 50i in Vermilion Red.
An old picture I dug up, back from 2008. I've reduced the size of my collection many times over the years, but this model continue to survive the cut. The impractical nature of the chopped hatch on this SUV can be forgiven on a model, and the color continue to intrigue me.
