AUTOart New 1:18 Lotus 3-Eleven

We don’t believe this replica of the Lotus 3-Eleven was discussed at the last Toy Fair in January…  A new composite piece from AUTOart shows the 1:18 scale Lotus 3-Eleven in pre-production form.  Definitely outside of the box, but all Lotus spirit.  No word on release date, but we suspect Q4 2017.

About the Lotus 3-Eleven…  “Designed as an uncompromised manifestation of the Lotus spirit, the Lotus 3-Eleven is focused on providing an undiluted driving experience, and underlines the company’s ability to deliver legendary handling and blistering speed”

Why? There’s no market for the real car. How do they expect to sell an overpriced model of it. Who’s in charge there? They need to be fired. AA has had the worst ideas lately.

You know what, it’s people like you who are pseudo-car enthusiatists and make me hate supercars. You think those road-going supercars are good? Hell no, for what they offered, they’re vastly overpriced, and they are more popular simply because of the brand they belong to and the bells and whistles they offer, save for some models which are really good cars like the Porsche 911 GT2/RS. And which is a better representation of the driving and overall feel of an F1 racecar, a generic supercar like the Aventador/Huracán or this Lotus 3-Eleven or similar cars like the 2-Eleven/BAC Mono/Ariel Atom? And if “There’s no market for the real car” then why did Lotus decided to make the 3-Eleven if the 2-Eleven was not successful for them, from both a financial and performance standpoint, and not just the 2-/3-Eleven but the whole Lotus lineup in general? And not just Lotus, there are Ariel, BAC, Donkervoort, Radical… who make similar cars and most of them have immensely high track performance that can kick any low-/mid-end supercars and all sports cars in the asses. Are they cheap? No. Are they hot? Certainly. Just because they are not as popular with the masses doesn’t mean they are bad. I’ll tell you what I think of most, if not all, people who buy supercars like the Aventador/Huracán/Ferrari 488 GTB/other similar supercars: People with not-too-much-money-and-just-a-little-piece-of-brain so that they have no idea what really good cars are.
And “How do they expect to sell an overpriced model of it”, yeah sure, I partly agree on the overpriced, but if it stays at $150, then it will find its way into my collection just like the BAC Mono and Lotus Exige S did. And even if they wasn’t able to sell any models, why should you be concerned about that? It’s not your money anyway. “Who’s in charge there? They need to be fired. AA has the worst ideas lately”, yeah sure, and some of there (not newest, but was born into the Composite age) releases like the Subaru Impreza 22b STi and Lancia Delta S4 are selling like fresh fishes. And just because they are made in Composite doesn’t mean the idea that the model represents is bad. Learn to differentiate and appreciate.
I don’t know how old are you, but your response seems like you are a 5 year old kid who only know “cars” like Lamborghini and Ferrari. Once again, it seems that you need to learn a lot, about cars AND about life in general so you can grow up. Have a “nice” day!

AutoArt has become a joke. I have sold all my AutoArt cars on Ebay and refuse to give them any more of my hard earned cash. You are correct, who ever is in charge at AutoArt should be FIRED

I don’t understand you people. The cars AA are making now are still good models and in my opinion are worth the money depending on the model. I personally am extremely excited for the Admiral Blue Grand Sport that is going to be coming soon, but hey… to each there own. If you like the models…Great! If you don’t…that’s ok too. Just remember they aren’t for everyone.

Would’ve wanted to get a BMW M2 with full opening parts instead. I know, I know, not gonna happen as they don’t seem to even have the license to make BMWs anymore.

  5. Veneno says:

Nice! Will look good beside the Ariel Atom & BAC.

  6. Eric says:

I, to this day, don’t understand all the hatered for Autoart. I think they are some of the best looking, detailed models for the money. If anything, Minichamps or Kyosho are under detailed for the price they are going for. But that doesn’t mean I won’t collect them.
