If we gave you a 100 guesses would you ever suspect the next model, the 1:18 Renault Magnum would come from Solido? We don’t think so. As presented at the recent toy fair earlier this year, the team is showing off early grey-wear images of the current project. Model will be fully sealed other than opening doors.
Solido has a question for all your collectors. Would you be interested in this type of model knowing it would be more expensive than their usual classic car line? Our take, the hobby itself is very niche. Adding this type of model would only exemplifies the niche factor even further. As one of our represented stated today, “I’ve been collecting for 20+ years and never considered something of this in scale or do I know someone who collects them”. What are your thoughts folks?

Well guys, I’ve been collecting basically 1:18 diecasts for more than 30 years. For years I got anything well done, rare or different. I don’t have a particular theme. Last year I got two 1:18 big different trucks: an Actros Mercedes-Benz by Eligor (France), and an Actros Mercedes-Benz FH25 Gigaspace by Nzg Models (Germany). Both are exceptiionally well executed and with full opening features, and the latter has working interior light also. So, definitely I would by a Renault.
Unfortunately they don’t make trailers.

I’m a collector of 1:18 scale models (cars and trucks). As of today, I already have more than 700 pieces, comprising of low-end models to high-end makes (diecast metal, composite and resin). As for this type of 1:18 model, I believe there are many collectors out there willing to buy since this is a unique subject. I have the 1:18 Eligor Mercedes Benz Actros and also the 1:18 NZG Mercedes Benz Actros FH25. Both are great models and their shelf-presence alone is incomparable. I’m waiting for more 1:18 scale models of this type. Luckily, Solido has step forward. I will definitely buy one. Solido, please make this model a reality.
