Wow, I asked the team form GT Spirit to create some excitement in a recent article, and this morning I awake to the news of their latest effort, the 1:18 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R! As usual they are ahead the curve and first to market… Great news for Ford fans, this monster is stirring up some serious buzz on both sides of the pond. This is definitely one of those pieces that will appeal to many outside the hobby and within. My BIL recently took delivery of his 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, he’s constantly asking when something will become available in scale, well here it is. Though the R version, we can hopefully expect the Shelby GT350 to come at a future date? Enjoy!

Finally, someone has stepped up to make this car as model; next question is will the Challenger Hellcat follow?
GTS finishing is quite decent, but sometimes they don’t get their details right. Just compare their Mercedes 6X6 with AA and you will see the differences. Despite that, GTS 6X6 sold extremely well, maybe because they are cheaper.
Please have GT Spirit look CLOSELY at Ford photos of this car….the rear 1/4 windows should carry a rather dark tint…..as should the door windows, but not as dark as the rear 1/4’s.
To go to a ‘regular GT-350 would only require some minor cosmetic revision….the spoiler goes away, the red badge on the grill comes off, and you may need to change color of the brake calipers….truly simple stuff as far as the model goes.
great points…..I may have to consider these changes you mention to make it the more “tame” GT350 spec version. I have other Shelby GT 350s…this would be a nice addition, but color is not quite what I’m after….however, would also be a fairly easy change since the car body is white already.

I thank you for that, but remember that your biggest fan base drives the more civil version GT350.
My wallet is wide open and waiting for the base version of the 350. Oh and please, make it in Magnetic grey.

stoked about this but really wish the more sedate GT350 version was an option….I’d love to see White with Metallic blue stripes…..hehehehe.
