GT Spirit | OttOmobile Final July/August Deliveries

The final deliveries from GT Spirit and OttOmobile for July and August were released today.  New from GT Spirit is the hot Dodge Viper RT/10 and yet another GT-R, the Nissan GT-R Nismo 2017.  Both models are confirmed 1:18 in scale.

OttOmobile goes a little deeper, four new models, all in 1:18 scale include the following: Renault Clio 4 RS, Alpina E30 C2 2.7, Nismo GT-R (R34) Clubma Race Spec, and Ford RS200 Groupe B.

About the Dodge Viper…  “The Dodge Viper came out in 1992 following the initiative in Bob Lutz, the then-president of the Chrysler group. The brand needed visibility, and the demented look of the American sports car did not disappoint. An impressive V10 engine of 394 horsepower took its place in the huge space under the bonnet. This block is an extrapolation in aluminium based on the forged blocks of the Dodge Ram. It is possible to reach 88 km/h with it, the legal speed limit in the USA, just by sitting on the first gear.”

The first-gen Viper deserves to be done in diecast by a top-tier manufacturer.

The Viper doesn’t look quite right. It’s subtle, but the the headlights and the rear tail lights are the wrong shape. They don’t taper off in the proper way towards the inside of the headlight and the outer end on the tail light. It’s too round and bulbous here.

Honestly, the 20+ yr old Bburago looks better. And even though wheels here are more accurate, the larger rimmed and lowered look of the Bburago looks far better. The fact that the Bburago can be had for $20, kills this GTS version for me.
