From Kyosho’s Samurai Series we have the new 1:18 Toyota Hiace. Model is made of resin and fully sealed. Two colours will be issued, Black and White. Both models are scheduled for late April release. Retail is suggested at $199US. I don’t understand the significance of this model. Is it a cultural thing or dealer edition? Because who will buy this??? Select few collection “service” vehicles, so a production run in 1:18 scale this make much sense. Someone explain? TIA!
Product# KSR18003W / KSR18003BK
Let me explain, in Central and South America, Toyota Hi Ace is the most Panel Used in all Countries, for people transportation, may be Kyosho Focused in this Geographical Area, In Guatemala having a lot of this Bus
Thank you. But would one really want a scale replica of such a generic bus? And spend $200 in the process?
Exactly. I can’t exactly imagine the retailer’s preorder books filling up with orders for a boring plumber’s van – a stupid sealed one at that.
Please Kyosho, make the Toyota Hilux or MR2 First Generation !!!!!!!
In Ireland the Hi-Ace was beloved by itinerants (aka gypsies) for decades. A wretched device which used the drivers legs as a crumple zone in a frontal accident. Proof that you can produce origami vehicles from heavy duty tin foil. I wouldn’t allow myself be brought to the crematorium in one…..
To be brought to the crematorium in a Toyota is widely regarded as act of utter disrespect, tantamount to cracking a joke when the coffin goes through the curtains.
I’m not sure why they’re making it resin. If it was diecast with opening parts then I could understand, but resin? Makes no sense.
It’s mildly cool but the price is madness. There’s not even much detail.
Kyosho has truly lost it! They can be pumping newer colors of their old car molds and those will still sell better than these.
