With the 2016 Nurembeg Toy Fair just weeks away, the rumor mill is already in full-force, and we’re happy initiate the rumors and build on the excitement leading to the show… An insider source provided us with a few scoops, well more than a few scoops, but we’ll share some of our favorites with you. We’re not sure what the composition is at this stage, so you can safety assume some models mentioned here may span the assortment of ‘diecast’ and ‘composite’ materials. And will these models all be released in 2016, based on AUTOart’s past history, absolutely not.
Fans of AUTOart’s 1:12 scale have already noticed the release of the Lamborghini Huracan (#12097) earlier this month. Well that’s not the biggest news, AUTOart will also showcase the 1:12 Pagani Huayra in Blue! (#12231). Switching gears to 1:18 we have a slew of new models, both is street and race form. A few that will surprise you is the Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 in Gun Grey (#72101). Not sure what other colours are coming, but I guess this negates the need for the GT Spirit upcoming resin version. That’s not all, AUTOart will also showcase the Jaguar F-Type (#73651). Thank you AUTOart! Our personal favorite of the bunch. The 1:18 scale platform continues with the Porsche 918 Syder – Silver (#77926), Mercedes-Benz S500 Maybach – Silver (#76291), and Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S – Black (#76311).
Race fans aren’t left out, we should see the likes of the Corvette C7 in various racing trim. The Lotus 99T Honda F1 Japanese GP 1987 #12 with Ayrton Senna figurine in cockpit (#88729). There will also be Aston Martin V12 Vantage livery and Nissan R390 GT1 – Lemans 1998 K.Hoshino, A.Suzuki & M.Kageyama #32 (#89876). All race models will be issued in 1:18 scale.
Folks enjoy the news, I know we are. I think we covered the major announcements, but there is still more to share, we’ll leave the rest for January 2016. Looking forward to this year’s show and all the chaos it creates. Tune into the DS Forums the latest news on the Nurembeg Toy Fair 2016.
WUT?! If all true, that’s an amazing list of cars to come!
The 918 could very well be true, I asked them a few years ago if they were going to do the P1, 918 and C-X75 and they said they were “interested in producing those in the future”
Is is too much to ask that the 1/12 AA Pagani Huayra be blue carbon fiber and not just metallic blue? I will be getting it either way but still it would be my first choice. Will these have all opening parts like the 1/18? In regards to the comment above I would also be thrilled and would definitely buy the C-X75 if it was made in the near production form in that stunning blue color. I can’t wait to get all the news at this years show. Thanks DS for this exciting update!
Yessss!!! Finally, an F-type !!!
Great minds think alike!
Any idea on how much the 918 will costs?
No, that would depend on what side brand and materials used. Hopefully it will be done under their ‘Performance’ series.
No One:1? I hope there is, surely that’s a must for Autoart. Other than that a good list of models there
Sorry, none that I saw.
Hi, do you think anyone will be doing the Aston Martin Vulcan, can you keep a eye out, thanks.
They are doing the Aston Martin Rapide S 2015 – Diavolo Red (#70257), and Aston Martin V12 Vantage S 2015 – Yellow Tang (#70252)
Is anyone producing the Porsche 919 Le Mans winner, or indeed any other 2014/2015 LMP1 cars, other than Spark?
I would imagine, like the 917, 956/962 and 911 GT1, there’ll be many versions of the 919, just a case of when they release.
Tell you the truth, after many years collecting 1/43 & 1/18, I’m being priced out of the hobby. I wish there was a budget line around the £35-£40 mark, in whatever scale, covering racing and performance cars.
AUTOart and Ferrari…. Holy Shit! yes!
Is the 918 deal similar to P1. Announced that they will make it but never happens. Autoart said they didn’t renew the Porsche license
Ferrari? Does AutoArt now have licensing to produce Ferraris? That seems like a pretty big story!
I think no. The loop-hole is the fact the car is LBW product not officially true Ferrari release.
Looking forward to the LB458! Better in baby blue! But somehow I reckon it must be a composite one.
I’m a little bit puzzled by all the hurray for Autoart. It is impossible to top the quality builds of the 918 from GTS and Spark even if there are motor details. It seems to me that Autoart puts so much effort in interior detailing that they forget about the outside.
