Why would TSM do a 1/18 scale F Pace? The new shape XJ hasn’t been done yet and that’s been around for ages. Nor has the XF or the new XE. All cars I would much prefer to see made in 1/18. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see any Jaguar come out in 1/18 considering it is a bit of a rarity compared to most other manufacturers. Just the F Pace strikes me as a bit of a strange choice?

Also, do Top speed realise that the F Type actually comes out in more than two colours? And yes I’m not counting the E/E Blue Project 7 as that is not a standard production vehicle.

The choice to push for the F-Pace is based on sales and projections in the hot selling SUV segment. The F-Pace will be Jaguar’s fastest and best selling product in Jaguar’s 94 history.

        I think it’s cool!

Be that as it may, I fail to see the relevance of sales and projection figures when it comes to a model car? I dare say that most people who buy an SUV are practical people who aren’t that interested in collecting or for that matter wasting their money on scale model cars. Unlike me! That’s why I question the selection of the F Pace over the XJ which I think is far more collectible and would look brilliant in 1/18 scale. I doubt that in the real world, very many Mclarens, Ferrari’s or Lambo’s are sold in comparison to SUV’s. That doesn’t stop most model manufacturers out there from making an absolute plethora of them.

And in this day and age of smaller, environmentally friendlier motor cars, I think the compact XE will be Jaguar’s most significant model of the past 50 years as it goes head to head with the Merc C class, BMW 3 series and Audi A4.

The Top Speed catalogue is awesome ! Pagani’s, Corvette C7, Aston Martin Vulcan and Zagato, McLaren’s ! That’s great news !

Where’s the 1:18 scale Mclaren P1 gulf Livery Version listed in the Catalogue? I thought this was suppose to be out by now. TSM is really horrible with their release notifications. C’mon TSM…get this one out already!!!
