Had this for a while, but only just got around to photographing it. It's Kyosho's lovely 1/18 model of the legendary Ferrari F40 Lightweight. It's the original release, which doesn't have the detail of the high-end re-release. Still a great model, though.

I would love a Tamiya 1/12 version, but I just don't have the space.

& seppuku I prefer the black rims to the sliver ones, also. I think it gives the car a race-look.

Beautiful piece, love the motor detail.

Agreed that AUTOart does a terrific job with Corvettes. I don't have any livery pieces, but I do have may street cars, they are by far the best!

That's the problem with Autoart Corvettes.....there are loads of them!

I've had this wee gem from Minichamps for some time. It's their superb 1/18 1960 Maserati Tipo 'Birdcage'. At the time, I didn't want to shell out the readies for CMC's stunning version, so I plumped for this one instead.
I have to say, I was delighted with it, with 2 caveats.

The headlight lenses have fogged up (a reaction to the glue used to attach them), which is frustrating to say the least. Mind you, CMC models suffer exactly the same problem. The other slight problem is the poor-ish fit of the front bodywork. The clamshell type hood doesn't sit parallel with the tops of the front sills. Not as noticeable with the naked eye, though...the camera tends to highlight flaws.

Anyway, enough waffle - on with the pics.
