I've been around these forums for the last couple of years and a huge fan of the site. I used to have a thread on my collection, but recently got it deleted because my collection had changed so much and I wanted to start afresh after selling over 200 of my 1:18 models in the last few years. My collection is primarily made up of hypercars and I'm a huge Veyron fan (I had at one point almost all the AUTOart variants/colours released so far), plus I also like a few cool concept cars and the higher end supercars that have made an impact or are really unique in the automotive world. I did also like collecting multiple colours of each model, but decided to sell the multiples recently to free up some cash flow for future purchases. I also recently sold the few 1:12 models I had as they just aren't a priority for me.

Sadly I still don't have enough space to display my models and appreciate them to their fullest, but hopefully that will change soonish. My insurer has asked me to catalogue my collection, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get them out of their boxes for some pics.

I used to have 90% of your collection, in some permutation, until I sold them all apart from the Paganis. I wish there were more detailed supercar models like them

Trying my hand at some model photography now. Let me know what you guys think/any suggestions. I'm finding it difficult to photograph the interiors up close in good detail. I've got a micro 4/3 camera with interchangeable lenses and I've been using it in aperture priority mode and manual adjusting the focus, but can't seem to get too close with the 3 lenses I've got

1:18 Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari LaFerrari

I've got all 3 colours (black, red and yellow) of the Elite version - I don't think any one of them is 100% perfect and suiting the car, but I think they all look good in their own right (if that makes sense?). The paintwork isn't brilliant, as is well known by now and it just doesn't feel as solid as models in this price range/previous Elite models. A bit disappointing, but what hypercar collection would be complete without a LaFerrari (or 3 ).

Nice pics sir! The Ferraro LaFerrari looks brilliant in yellow. Yes I agree, I wish Hot Wheels Elite would of stuck to same standards as earlier releases.

1:18 Kyosho Lamborghini Veneno Roadster

Next up to photograph is the latest arrival in my collection - the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster by Kyosho. This is a sealed model and I had a red one that I bought when it was just released, but it had loads of paint issues so I sent it back. This one is by no means perfect - the white around the splitter, side skirts and diffuser is not 100% uniform, but I only paid £40 for this model and I am willing to overlook the issues (especially compared to the red one I sent back).

The Veneno is so angular and you could spend hours photographing it from so many different perspectives - I don't think there's any particular bad side to it In my opinion.

Seems this Kyosho example is real bargain based on diecast and sealed vs resin and sealed. I just might add one my self. Thanks for the photos and feedback

My pleasure! Usual retail is between £60-£80 here in the UK, but I won it on an eBay auction. I've got the grey coupe by AutoArt and thought this would complement it very well - the lack of opening parts didn't bother me for that reason.

Been a couple of months since I've posted some photos (sorry about that), but here are some more. The black carbon is really glossy and reflective, so was quite difficult to get shots that don't reflect the lights in my room too much. I need to invest in a proper photobox or whatever!

In between taking pics of the Veyron and the Gumpert, I bought myself a couple of extension tubes for my camera - I didn't fancy spending a load of money on a new macro lens, so just bought these for about £25 instead. They push a standard lens further away from the sensor, basically giving it the functionality of a macro lens for minimal cost. It's helped me get some really great close up pics that I just wasn't able to get before. I'm still learning how to take advantage, so bear with me
